1. Background
In order to write an authentic novel about the migrants' misery during the Great Depression, John Steinbeck (1902-1968) visited squatters' camps in California. In his article "Death in the Dust", which was published by The Guardian, Steinbeck describes the misery he has seen in these camps.
Your Task
